DCF’S 19th Annual Golf Scramble Fundraiser To Happen August 10

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Dearborn Community Foundation's Unrestricted Endowment.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Get ready to golf for a great cause!

The Dearborn Community Foundation (DCF) 19th Annual Golf Scramble fundraiser is set for Monday, August 10, at Hidden Valley Golf Club.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the DCF's Unrestricted Endowment to help the Foundation board of directors and staff address the community’s changing needs over time. Additionally, the net proceeds will be matched $2-for-$1 by the Lilly Endowment Inc.’s GIFT (Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow) VII initiative.

The Unrestricted Endowment gives grants to Dearborn County programs that "feed and shelter people in need, support victims of abuse or violence, impact the environment, build trails and recreational projects, encourage educational as well as arts and cultural experiences and much more."

Golfers wishing to participate in the event may pay a $100 per player registration fee or $400 for a foursome. Registration fees will include food and beverage. The DCF golf scramble event day registration is 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start. Golfers may also participate in games throughout the golf course.

CIVISTA Charitable Foundation is the “Presenting Sponsor” for the golf scramble, and the Hidden Valley Lake POA/Hidden Valley Golf Club is donating the use of the golf course to the Foundation for the 19th straight year.

“We appreciate the continuing support of our presenting sponsor, CIVISTA Charitable Foundation and, of course, the incredible generosity of the HVL POA and Hidden Valley Golf Club for their longtime support of the Foundation,” McCarter said. “All sponsors and golfers who participate in the event provide fine examples of philanthropy in our community.”

Additional sponsors include:

  • Food & Beverage Sponsors: Blue & Co.
  • FCN Bank
  • Friendship State Bank
  • Ivy Tech Community College
  • Mason Investment Advisory Services
  • Miller Flannery Law
  • St. Leon Skyline Chili

The Foundation is accepting Hole and Door Prize Sponsors for the fundraiser.
