INDIANPOLIS - State Sen. Jean Leising (R-Oldenburg) welcomed local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages during this year’s legislative session:
- Quinn Burdette, from Sunman, attends East Central High School.
- Carson Hartwell, from Batesville, attends Oldenburg Academy.
- Nash King, from Batesville, attends Oldenburg Academy.
- David Koch, from Oldenburg, attends Oldenburg Academy.
- Olivia Leising, from Oldenburg, attends Oldenburg Academy.
- Cayden Lieland, from Batesville, attends Oldenburg Academy.
- Campbell Miles, from Batesville, attends Oldenburg Academy.
- Ali Nobbe, from Greensburg, attends Oldenburg Academy.
- Simon Nobbe, from Greensburg, attends Oldenburg Academy.
- Clare Scheidler, from Greensburg, attends Oldenburg Academy.
- Kira Sims, from Batesville, attends Oldenburg Academy.
Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.
“Having students from my district come page for a day at the Statehouse is one of my favorite parts of session,” Leising said. “This is a great opportunity for them to learn about the legislative process.”
Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the session.
