(Whitewater Township, Oh.) - On Wednesday at 12:28 p.m., fire crews were dispatched to the 9600 block of Cilley Road for a reported building fire.
According to Whitewater Township Fire, the first arriving units reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the attic space of the former Woodlands Reception Hall (old building). Due to the extent of the fire and the lack of fire hydrants in the immediate area, a second alarm was quickly requested along with additional water tankers.
Several mutual aid partners and assisting agencies were called to the scene. Several departments also provided station coverage throughout the area to ensure emergency services remained available for other calls while crews were operating at the scene.
At the time of the fire, the building was unoccupied and there were no injuries reported to emergency personnel.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
