(Ripley County, Ind.) – Four area schools corporations have school board openings.
Ripley County Clerk Ginger J. Bradford announced Monday that forms are available in the Clerk’s office for those wishing to declare candidacy for school board.
Batesville Community School Corporation has two open positions in District 3, which is inside the City of Batesville.
Two positions are open on the Milan school board. One within the town limits and one at-large. The same positions are open within the Jac-Cen-Del school board.
At South Ripley Community Schools, one seat is open in District 3 (Brown & Shelby Townships), one in District 6 (within the Town of Versailles), and one in District 7 (Otter Creek Township and Johnson Township including the Town of Versailles).
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have resided in the election district for at least one year prior to the election.
The deadline to declare candidacy is noon on Friday, August 21.
