(Batesville, Ind.) - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced that the State Road 46 bridge over Little Laughery Creek is expected to open up by the end of the week.
Since early June, the bridge has been closed for a structure replacement project.
On Monday, crews finished intermediate paving. Once guardrail is installed and the surface layer of pavement is completed, the road will open. This finishing work is weather dependent.
Flagging will remain in place during August for additional work on the bridge, including sealing the deck, sign installation and clean-up.
