Update published Friday, March 27 at 12:35 p.m.: The Dearborn County Sheriff's Department has identified the driver killed in Wednesday's crash on State Road 350 at Mt. Sinai. The driver killed after his 1998 Ford Escort crossed the center line and struck a box truck head-on was Abraham Mosier, 62, of Osgood. Mosier was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Update published Wednesday, March 25 at 6:48 p.m.: The Dearborn County Sheriff's Department says a 62-year-old man died in the crash on State Road 350 near Mt. Sinai Wednesday afternoon. The unnamed driver of a passenger car crossed the center line and struck a Ryder box truck head-on at around 3:50 p.m. University Aircare responded and pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Deputies are withholding the victim's name until next of kin have been notified. The driver of the box truck, Jeffrey Berger, 25, of Cincinnati, had a complaint of pain in his left leg. He was treated and released from Dearborn County Hospital. State Road 350 was closed for more than two hours following the wreck. Update published Wednesday, March 25 at 4:55 p.m.: Dispatchers say State Road 350 remains closed at the crash scene near Mt. Sinai, but traffic is being rerouted onto Old State Road 350 to get around. The names and conditions of those involved in the crash have not been released. The wreck is under investigation by the Dearborn County Sheriff's Department. Update published Wednesday, March 25 at 3:30 p.m.: Dearborn County dispatchers say there is no estimation on when State Road 350 may reopen at the crash scene just west of the intersection with Old State Road 350. Original story published Wednesday, March 25 at 3:13 p.m.: (Aurora, Ind.) - A multiple-vehicle collision has closed State Road 350 in Dearborn County's Hogan Township Wednesday afternoon. The crash happened at around 2:55 p.m. when a moving truck and a small passenger car reportedly collided on the highway near Mt. Sinai. One crash victim was reported with head trauma and barely breathing. Entrapment was also reported by emergency responders arriving on the scene. Aircare has been requested to transport at least one person. The landing zone is at Mt. Sinai Church. Eagle 99.3 will share more information on this story as it becomes available.
