(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - An argument over changing the channel on the dayroom TV may have in part led to an assault at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center. The four accused inmates are Luis Magallon, Damon Miller, Patrick Garvey, and Dakota Fraley. They have each been charged with Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Confinement Resulting in Bodily Injury (Level 5 felony), Criminal Confinement Resulting in Bodily Injury (Level 5 felony), Conspiracy to Commit Battery Resulting in Moderate Bodily Injury (Level 6 felony), and Battery Resulting in Moderate Bodily Injury (Level 6 felony). The victim was allegedly lured into a second-story jail cell then assaulted while one inmate held the cell door closed on July 21. According to a court affidavit, the victim and Magallon may have been involved in an argument over the television three to four weeks earlier. Once the victim was let out of the cell room, he went down the stairs to the dayroom and a fight with Magallon began. After the attack, the victim told investigators with the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department that he was scared for his life. Magallon, 33, is in jail on charges of Dealing in a Narcotic Drug and Battery Resulting In Bodily Injury to a Pregnant Woman, according to online jail records. He was allegedly working with a multi-state drug operation to traffic heroin and other drugs between Chicago and Cincinnati. Fraley, 20, is held on charges of Theft, Attempted Theft, and Burglary for his alleged involvement in a series of southeast Indiana break-ins earlier this year. Miller, 20, and Garvey, 28, were both being held on charges of Burglary. Miller is currently held in a state prison serving his sentence through at least October of 2016.
