Red Kettle Bell Ringers Take In $34K And Change

The generosity of area residents has not gone unnoticed.

(Aurora, Ind.) – Southeast Indiana residents once again showed their incredible generosity by donating thousands of dollars to the local Salvation Army.

Dearborn and Ohio counties kettle coordinator Sue Manford told Eagle Country 99.3 on Tuesday that the 2018 Red Kettle Drive at Kroger in Lawrenceburg and Wal-Mart in Aurora raised $34,619.21.

That amount is up more than $5,000 from the previous year and will help local people in need of emergency assistance. In addition, more than $10,000 was raised in Batesville and Ripley County, reports The Batesville Herald Tribune

“The people here in Dearborn and Ohio counties are very generous,” said Manford. “We want the people that donated to know how incredibly grateful we are for their generosity.”

Manford also thanks the many individuals, businesses and groups who assisted with the donation drive.

Anyone who would like to volunteer for the 2019 Red Kettle Drive may do so by contacting Sue Manford at 812-744-3914.
