Ripley County Prosecutor Ric Hertel tells Eagle Country 99.3 no criminal charges will be filed in connection with the accident which claimed Strassell’s life.

“I spoke again to the Sheriff on this matter.  The investigation has been completed.  Based on all of the information/evidence and witnesses involved no criminal charges have or will be filed at this time,” Hertel said Sunday.

The prosecutor added that any new evidence which may come to light could cause him to re-evaluate.

Strassell was a junior student at Milan High School. He enjoyed racing, dirt bikes, and quads.
