Guilfoyle was found guilty by a Franklin County Jury last April.

(Brookville, Ind.) - The Indiana Court of Appeals has upheld the conviction of Gregory Guilfoyle.
Guilfoyle was found guilty by a Franklin County Jury last April on eight charges, including Attempted Murder and Neglect of a Dependent.
He was originally charged in December of 2022 after he allegedly shot wife in the head and left her for dead. She sustained serious injuries but survived. A short time later, in blizzard conditions, Guilfoyle engaged in a shootout with a Franklin County Sheriff's deputy on the State Road 1 Bridge over the Whitewater River while holding his young child.
Following the incident, the then 23-month-old female child, was taken into the custody of the Indiana Department of Child Services.
Guilfoyle pleaded insanity and was ultimately found guilty but mentally ill.
The Indiana Court of Appeals upheld the jury's decision but did revise Guilfoyle's sentence from 100 years to 80 years in the Department of Corrections.
Guilfoyle has 45 days to seek transfer of the appeal to the Indiana Supreme Court.
