(Waltham, Mass.) - Southern Connecticut State women's basketball defeated Bentley, 59-50 last Sunday, to win their first Northeast 10 Conference title since 2006-07.

The Owls did so behind an impressive performance from Hope Fox, the NE10 Championship Most Outstanding Player.

Fox, an East Central High School graduate, had 12 points and six rebounds in the championship win. In the fourth quarter, Fox made the go-ahead basket which sparked a 10-0 run for her team.

With the win, the Owls received an automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division II Tournament. They received a No.1 seed and will host the East Region on March 13-14.

Fox, a senior, is averaging 10.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.5 steals this season.
