(Dearborn County, Ind.) - The Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce and the Southeast Indiana Chamber Foundation are excited to announce that the highly anticipated Leadership Dearborn program is set to commence on May 19 and registration is now open.

This immersive program promises a transformative experience, equipping participants with essential leadership tools and strategies. Under the expert guidance of Angel Beets, CEO of Gilman Partners, attendees will benefit from Ms. Beets’ extensive leadership expertise, fun and engaging teaching style, and genuine care for participants. Returning as facilitator in 2026, Angel brings her deep knowledge of marketing, communication, higher education, and training experience. Topics covered will include team dynamics, self-assessment, time management, managing priorities, handling pressure, leadership traits, conflict resolution, productivity, presentation skills, future planning, and more.

Past participants rave about the program’s impact. “Being able to learn and network with other local leaders is what I like most about the program,” says Booker Kilburn, Director of Sales Services at Stedman Machine Company. Jim Seymour, Plant Superintendent at Stedman Manufacturing, adds, “My experience in Leadership Dearborn was great. I enjoyed hearing from guest speakers about their respected roles within our community, and Angel did a great job facilitating and encouraging involvement. The group discussions were great, and I loved having sessions at different community locations. The course has helped me with networking—I’ll stop to catch up with former participants when I see them, and I’ve picked up tips I use daily.” Becca Lovern, Leadership Dearborn Class of 2022 and Director of Lawrenceburg Main Street, calls it “an exceptional program that offers invaluable growth opportunities,” praising its focus on “building leadership skills, finding your strengths, fostering teamwork, and empowering current and future leaders to tackle challenges and build effective teams.”

“Leadership Dearborn is more than just a management program; it’s a catalyst for personal and professional growth,” says Eric Kranz, President and CEO of the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce. “We’re committed to shaping Southeast Indiana’s leaders of tomorrow and fostering a community of individuals ready to make a positive impact. It’s vital for our communities and businesses in Southeast Indiana to continue nurturing local talent and demonstrating to aspiring leaders that there are ample opportunities for meaningful contributions right here at home.”

Participants can look forward to a curriculum featuring interactive workshops, case studies, guest speakers, and valuable networking opportunities held at various community locations. The program’s comprehensive approach ensures a well-rounded understanding of leadership principles and practices, offering a lifetime of growth and return.
