Early Registration Open for 6th Annual Cruisin to a Cure for ALS Car Show

The car show returns to downtown Lawrenceburg on Sunday, May 1.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - One of the biggest events of the year is less than four months away.

The 6th annual Cruisin to a Cure for ALS returns to downtown Lawrenceburg on Sunday, May 1.

Since its inception in 2017, the car show has raised $128,000 for the ALS Association. In May of 2021, a record 927 entrants helped raise $37,500. Following that announcement, organizer Logan Lawrence said he hopes a $40,000 fundraising goal can be met in 2022.

Participants can get a jump on helping to accomplish that goal with early registration. Cost is $15 through April 15 at (2) 6th Annual Cruisin to A Cure for ALS in memory of Carlos Lawrence | Facebook. There will also be preferred parking for early entrants.

After April 15, registration will increase to $20 on the day of the show.

Like years past, the Cruisin to a Cure for ALS will feature several awards including Best of Show Memorial Trophy and $500 cash, 20 specialty trophies, Top 50 Classic (90 & older), Top 25 Modern (91 and newer), $200 farthest distance traveled, and motorcycle and racecar classes.

About half of the proceeds go towards assisting patients currently fighting ALS, while the other half goes towards research and hopefully finding a cure for ALS. The ALS Association hopes to make the disease livable by the year of 2030.
