Town of Dillsboro Announces Sanitary Sewer Cleaning and Inspection Project

Work is scheduled to begin on Thursday, March 26.

(Dillsboro, Ind.) - The Town of Dillsboro will be conducting routine sanitary sewer cleaning and inspection work over the next week.

During this process, residents may see work trucks in the street and manhole lids open as crews clean the sewer mains.

To help reduce the chance of sewer backflow, residents are encouraged to take the following precautions while work is actively taking place in your area:

  • Minimize water usage
  • Keep toilet lids closed
  • Seal or cover floor drains if possible

Work is scheduled for Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27 around West Adams Street, Sycamore Street and the western edges of Sunset Drive.

Early next week, the project will shift to Holland Drive, eastern Lenover Street and eastern North Street. Later next week, portions of northern Front Street and the intersection with Bank Street will see work.

Residents will receive door hangers prior to work occurring in their immediate area.

Once crews have completed work and left your area, normal water use can resume.
