Ballart Named to Top 50 All-State Team, 12 More SEI Stars Earn All-State Honors

INDIANAPOLIS – Twelve high school football stars from southeastern Indiana have earned All-State honors from the Indiana Football Coaches Association (IFCA).

The IFCA has announced their Top 50 All-State Team and Junior and Senior All-State Teams for all six classifications.

Locally, South Dearborn senior linebacker Brady Ballart earned the top honor by being selected to the Top 50 All-State Team. Ballart had a team-high 110 tackles, including 12 tackles for a loss this fall. Last Thursday, he signed his letter of intent to continue his football career at the University of Louisville.

East Central had four All-State selections. Offensive lineman Gavin Osterman and defensive back Nyden Euson were named to the Class 5A Senior All-State Team. Junior offensive lineman Noah Brown and sophomore linebacker Chase McCracken made the 5A Junior All-State Team.

Osterman anchored a Trojans’ offensive line that paved the way for 3,025 rushing yards and 44 touchdowns. Euson was among the top defenders in the EIAC with 50 tackles, six tackles for a loss, and three interceptions. McCracken led the Trojans in tackling with 66.

In Class 3A, Batesville, Franklin County, Lawrenceburg and South Dearborn were represented. Making the 3A Senior All-State Team is Franklin County wideout Carter Dozier and Lawrenceburg running back Isaiah Williams.

Dozier was Franklin County’s top receiver with 49 catches for 578 yards and seven touchdowns. Williams led the Tigers in rushing with 1,391 yards and 20 touchdowns. He added 122 yards receiving and three more scores.

The 3A Junior All-State Team features Batesville sophomore offensive lineman Camden Kaiser, Lawrenceburg junior quarterback Crue Gilmour, and South Dearborn junior defensive lineman Mason Lane.

Gilmour, a dual-threat, passed for 1,897 yards, while completing 71 percent of his passes. He threw 26 touchdowns to only three interceptions, and also hurt teams with his legs, rushing for 764 yards and 11 more scores.

A trio of Milan juniors were named to the Class A Junior All-State Team. They are offensive lineman Lukas Hensley, linebacker Grant Langferman, and offensive and defensive lineman Zane Richardson.

These three players played a key role in leading Milan to a Final Four appearance in Class A. Hensley and Richardson anchored an offensive line that led the way for Milan rushers to accumulate 3,077 yards and 35 touchdowns. Langferman was among the Indians’ leading tacklers with 63, including 11 for a loss.
