Brady Ballart Signs Letter of Intent, Officially Becoming a Louisville Cardinal

A dream came true for the SD star on Thursday night.

(Aurora, Ind.) - South Dearborn High School hosted a special signing ceremony on Thursday night as Brady Ballart realized his lifelong dream of becoming a college football player. 

Ballart, who has been verbally committed to the University of Louisville since September of 2024, officially signed his letter of intent. 

A four-year starter at South Dearborn, Ballart made 348 career tackles, including 39 for a loss, according to MaxPreps. 

Over his high school career, Ballart earned many accolades including three-time All-EIAC, EIAC Academic All-Conference, two-time team MVP, EIAC Defensive MVP, three-time IFCA 1st Team All-State and an IFCA Top 50 nominee as a senior. Ballart also served as a captain for the Knights. 

The three-star linebacker the No. 25 overall player in Indiana and the No. 119 linebacker nationally by 247Sports. 

“Brady is everything you want in a student-athlete,” said Coach Ballart, head coach of the Knights. “His work ethic is unmatched. He’s the kind of player who stays late, comes early, and makes everyone around him better. In 4 years, Brady has never missed a practice or a team workout - even when he was injured, he still attended every meeting and practice. Watching him earn a Division I opportunity has been incredibly rewarding.”

“I’ve dreamed about playing Division I football since I was a kid,” Ballart said. “South Dearborn has given me every opportunity to grow, and I’m thankful for my coaches, teammates, and everyone who pushed me. I can’t wait to get to Louisville and get to work.”
