Woman Dies In Franklin Co. Crash

(Oldenburg, Ind.) - A 21-year-old Oldenburg woman died in a crash in Franklin County early Saturday morning.

 

Corinne Lamping was driving her 1996 Toyota Camry on Forest Road near Harveys Branch Road at about 4:00 a.m. when she lost control of the vehicle, Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies told the Batesville Herald-Tribune.

 

The car went off the road over a steep embankment and rolled. It came to a rest upside down in a creek.

 

Lamping was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The crash remains under investigation by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.

 

Corinne was a 2009 Batesville High School graduate who worked at Guys and Gals Hair Salon in Batesville.

 

Visitation is Tuesday, February 28 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home in Batesville. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 29 at Holy Family Church in Oldenburg.
