UPDATE: Man Hit Twice In Fatal Hit-Skip Wreck In Florence

By Mike Perleberg Update published at 9:10 a.m.: Police say a Cincinnati man was killed after being hit by two vehicles on Dixie Highway in Florence. The accident happened at around 10:05 p.m. near the intersection with Richardson Road. Friends told officers that 32-year-old Nicholas Arthur was walking with them along the highway when he separated from the group. Arthur was struck by a vehicle which fled the scene. As he laid in the road, a second vehicle hit Arthur. Arthur was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence where he was pronounced dead. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Reconstruction Unit is investigating the dead hit-and-run crash. Deputies ask that anyone with information on identity of the driver or occupants of the hit-and-run vehicle to call the Boone County Sheriff’s Office at (859) 334-2175 or Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.   Original story published at 6:50 a.m.: (Florence, Ky.) - A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in Florence late Monday night. Police say the accident happened around 10:00 p.m. on Dixie Highway at Richardson Road. An unidentified man died as a result of the crash. No further details have been released.
