East Central HS Celebrates Record-Breaking Achievements of the Class of 2025

(St. Leon, Ind.) - Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools and East Central High School proudly celebrate the incredible accomplishments of the ECHS Class of 2025. With 299 graduates, this class has set a new benchmark for academic excellence, college and career readiness, and post-secondary success.

The Class of 2025 has achieved the following:

  • 100 Indiana College Core Certificates Earned
  • 19 Associate Degrees in General Studies Awarded
  • 5,962 College Credits Earned
  • $6,080,000 in Estimated College Tuition Savings (based on the average in-state college cost of $30,600 per year for students living on campus) 
  • 127 Academic Honors Diplomas
  • 72 Technical Honors Diplomas
  • 2 Military Commitments
  • Over $5,000,000 in Scholarships Awarded

“This graduating class has achieved historic results,” said East Central High School Principal Tom Black. “From college-level coursework to industry certifications and military service, the Class of 2025 represents the very best of East Central and the future of our communities.”

Through the dual credit and early college programs, these graduates have saved millions in tuition costs and gained a significant head start on their college and career journeys.

The combination of over 5,961 credits earned and substantial scholarship awards reflects both the quality of instruction and commitment of East Central students and educators. The commencement ceremony, scheduled for Sunday, June 1st, at 2:00 PM, promises to be a memorable event, celebrating the achievements and future aspirations of the graduates.
