(Aurora, Ind.) - It’s the week of all weeks in Aurora.

The event was first held in 1909 organized by the Aurora Business Men’s Association. Today, it is organized by the Aurora Lions’ Club and the Aurora Farmers Fair Association in partnership with the City of Aurora.
The Farmers Fair offers activities for all ages, including carnival rides and games, food and information booths, an exhibit hall, unique contests and more. Much of the action is concentrated on a newly reconstructed Second Street featuring new sidewalks and crosswalks.
That's where you can find the main stage, home to a full lineup of free live entertainment. Popular performers include 90 Proof Twang, Triumphant Quartet, The Dixie Melody Boys, The Van Dells, Ooh La La Unplugged, The Skallywags and more.
One of the biggest events at the Farmers Fair is the gigantic Saturday morning parade. Featuring some of the best-decorated parade floats, the parade steps off at 10:00 a.m. The grand marshals of the parade this year are optometrist Dr. Frank Burton and business owner Doug Manford.
A piece of steel from the World Trade Center, part of a traveling exhibit known as The 911 Steel, will also be on display.
And Aurora Farmers Fair attendees appreciate that admission to the street festival is free.
