Eagle Country 99.3 was provided new information about how a juvenile male ended up in the Ohio River on Monday morning.
The boy's mother tells Eagle Country 99.3 that he took off from their home on his bicycle. Police were notified and began following the juvenile, who jumped into the Ohio River at Lesko Park.
Police called in the incident, which prompted Lawrenceburg Fire Department to dispatch their Water Rescue Unit to the scene.
The juvenile is said to be autistic.
His mother, grandmother and sister were all on the scene the whole time but were told not to jump in the water due to the current.
The juvenile was pulled about 10 feet from shore. He was safely pulled from the river.

(Aurora, Ind.) - First responders were dispatched to the Ohio River at Aurora on Monday morning for a water rescue.
According to Dearborn County Dispatch, a juvenile was reported in the Ohio River at Lesko Park around 7:59 a.m.
Upon arrival, the juvenile was located about 10 feet from the shore.
Lawrenceburg Fire Department deployed their Water Rescue Unit to retrieve the juvenile and bring him to safety. EMS was also on scene.
It is unknown how the juvenile ended up in the river.
