Milan Native Wins Back-to-Back Races, Lawrenceburg Teen Tops Overall SIRC

After five races, the 2026 Southeastern Indiana Racing Circuit has come to an end

(Batesville, Ind.) - Ayden Potts won the race, but Rylynn Head won the Southeastern Indiana Racing Circuit. 

The annual road racing circuit wrapped up on Saturday at the Bulldog Chase 5K in Batesville. A total of 228 runners competed in the final event. 

Potts, 20, of Milan, won his second consecutive SIRC race with a time of 16:50. Rylynn Head, 16, of Lawrenceburg, placed second (17:17), solidifying his place at the Overall SIRC Winner. 

Head participated in all five races, finishing with an average time of 17:30. 

Bryan Wagner, 42, of Lawrenceburg, placed second in the overall standings (17:52 average time), giving Coach Wagner Elite the top two spots on the overall leaderboard. 

Alisha Detmer, 22, of Patriot, was once again first among female competitors, placing fourth overall with a time of 17:32. 

Detmer topped the Female Overall Leaderboard after sweeping the five events. Her average time was 17:52. 

The five SIRC races raised funds for Rushville, East Central, Lawrenceburg, Milan, and Batesville cross country programs.
