The road reconstruction project is ongoing in downtown Aurora.

(Aurora, Ind.) – An ongoing road reconstruction project will go on a few more weeks in downtown Aurora.
City Manager Guinevere Emery says traffic restrictions will continue on Second Street between Main Street and Exporting Street until September 14.
Contractors plan to restrict the entry way to Second Street as they continue block-by-block road reconstruction.
The project includes milling, asphalt overlay and new ADA brick crosswalks.
Installation of the brick crosswalks will occur at the intersections of Main, Mechanic and Broadway streets. Each intersection will be closed for three days until work is completed. All three intersections are scheduled to re-open by September 12.
A completion date for the entire project is scheduled for September 28. All work is weather dependent.
