MSW Packaging Purchases Facility In Batesville For Expansion

By Travis Thayer (Batesville, Ind.) – A Lawrenceburg-based packaging service is planning to expand. The Batesville Herald Tribune reports that MSW Packaging has purchased the former Bee Active Gym School building in Batesville. MSW plans to start the new facility with about 35 employees, most of which are expected to transfer from the company’s Aurora plant, leaving the plant’s future in limbo. The company hopes to add as many as 40 jobs at the Batesville facility over time, with hourly wages between $12-14. The new Batesville facility is expected to begin some operations in September. The company hopes the facility will be fully operational by November. The 25-year-old company specializes in beverage secondary packaging services, variety packs for grocery retailers, specialty packaging for seasonal products and custom labeling services.
