State legislators gathered at the Statehouse today for Organization Day.

INDIANAPOLIS - State Sen. Randy Maxwell (R-Guilford) gathered with fellow legislators today at the Statehouse for Organization Day – the ceremonial start of the Indiana General Assembly.

Organization Day marks the annual first roll call of all state lawmakers. This day also provides members of the Senate and House of Representatives with the opportunity to meet before session officially reconvenes in January. By state law, the 2024 session will conclude on or before March 14.

"I am honored to have the opportunity to serve Hoosiers in Southeast Indiana at the Statehouse," Maxwell said. "I look forward to representing Senate District 43 and working with my new colleagues to see what more can be done to help our communities and the state continue to grow."

As the 2024 session gets underway, Maxwell encourages residents of Senate District 43 to contact him with any questions or comments they may have. Maxwell can be reached via email at Senator.Maxwell@iga.in.gov or by phone at 800-382-9467.
