(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - It looks like the tri-state is in for a sloppy day as the first significant snow of the season is expected.
The National Weather Service says rain will change over to snow this morning and afternoon, with up to a half-inch of snow possible.
Forecasters say, however, the snow will be short-lived, with daytime highs the rest of this week in the 40s and 50s with no rain or snow expected under partly sunny skies.
When severe winter weather does strike, listen to Eagle 99.3 for area closings, delays, and traffic conditions.
