(Brookville, Ind.) – The Franklin County Community School Corporation has welcomed its new superintendent into the fold.
Dustin Gehring recently ran his first school board meeting as the new superintendent.
The FCCSC Board of Education voted unanimously to name Gehring as the new Franklin County Community School Corporation Superintendent on June 18.
He replaces Tammy Chavis, who decided to leave the school district in February.
Gehring has spent the last 23 years at Northwest Local School District in the Colerain area, where he served as a teacher, wrestling and track coach, high school assistant principal, middle school principal, and most recently as Director of Student Services for the past seven years.
Gehring is a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph University and the University of Cincinnati with his bachelor's and master’s degrees, respectively. He earned his superintendent license at Ohio University.
