Five Accused Of Dealing Methamphetamine In Dearborn Co.

The alleged drug deals totaled 12.3 grams of the drug and $570.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Five people are accused of dealing methamphetamine in Dearborn County. 

According to a probable cause affidavit, Shawn M. Redwine and Preston R.C. Graybill sold meth to an undercover officer in Lawrenceburg on two occasions, including one within 500 feet of a school between July 17 and July 19. Police say a third person identified as Aaron M. Kahn of Loveland, Ohio, assisted with the second transaction. 

A third attempt to sell meth allegedly occurred on July 23, and involved Redwine along with Lacey M. Derringer and Tyler A McCarty. 

Redwine, 31, of Aurora, and Graybill, 23, of Lawrenceburg, are charged with Conspiracy to Deal in Methamphetamine Over 5 Grams But Less Than 10 Grams (Level 3 felony), Dealing in Methamphetamine At Least One Gram But Less Than Five Grams Within 500 Feet of a School (Level 3 felony), Possession of a Syringe (Level 6 felony), and Dealing in Methamphetamine At Least One Gram But Less Than Five Grams (Level 4 felony),  

Kahn faces one charge of Dealing in Methamphetamine at Least One Gram But Less Than Five Grams (Level 4 felony). 

Derringer, 25, of Milan, and McCarty, 32, of Versailles, are charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine at Least Five Grams But Less Than 10 Grams in the Presence of a Child Less Than 18 Years of Age (Level 2 felony), and Neglect of a Dependent (Level 5 felony). 

Police stopped Derringer's vehicle in Batesville on July 25 after receiving information that she was dealing meth, possibly in the presence of her daughter. During the traffic stop, police allegedly found a plastic baggie containing meth, scales, multiple tablets and capsules and other drug paraphernalia. Derringer's phone was also seized which allegedly linked her to Redwine and illegal drug activity. 

Redwine and Graybill are currently being held in Dearborn County Jail.
