Photos provided. (Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The Medical Staff of Dearborn County Hospital has announced its Officers and Executive Committee for 2016. All officers and committee members serve two-year terms except for the Hospital Based Physician Representative and the Member at Large, who each serve for one year. Elected to a two-year term as Chief of Staff is Michael Caudy, M.D., Family Medicine Physician. Also elected for two years is Vice Chief of Staff/Secretary/Treasurer, Ira Younger, M.D., Ophthalmologist. Dr. Caudy’s practice is located in the DCH Professional Building. Dr. Younger has an office in the DCH Professional Building as well as in Batesville. Additional Executive Committee members beginning two-year terms in 2016 are Chief of Medicine, Thom Bunnell, D.O., Internist; Chief of Surgery, Michael McAndrew, M.D., General/Thoracic and Vascular Surgeon; Chief of Obstetrics, Carol Lovins, M.D., Obstetrician/Gynecologist; and Chief of Pediatrics, David W. Dobbs, M.D., Family Medicine Physician. Hospitalist Rana Singh, M.D., will serve a second one-year term as Member at Large. The Hospital Based Physician Representative for 2016 will be Stephen Eliason, M.D., Pathologist. Medical Staff Officers are responsible for conducting the business of the Medical Staff, including quality assurance and credentialing. They also work closely with the hospital Administration and Board of Trustees in strategic planning and setting objectives for the continued growth and development of Dearborn County Hospital and the medical community.
