Boone Co. Police Seek Purse Thief

(Burlington, Ky.) – A woman who had her purse stolen from her car later found that her credit card was being used to rack up purchases.

 

Boone County Sheriff’s Office investigators say a woman reported her car window had been smashed and purse taken from inside as she was in the YMCA on Veterans Way in Burlington on February 21.

 

The thief made off with the purse, cash, a digital camera, credit cards, gift cards, and the victim’s leather gloves.

 

The victim was soon notified that one of her credit cards was used to make purchases at Walgreens stores in Burlington and Florence.

 

Detectives obtained surveillance video of the male suspect who is believed to have used the card.

 

Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to call the Boone County Sheriff’s Office at 859-334-2175 or Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
