(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Two men convicted of robbing casino winners are getting 50 more years in prison.

Ugbe Ojile and Kenyatta Erkins have already been convicted and sentenced in Hamilton County, Ohio. Ojile is serving a 35 year prison term while Erkins is on a 30 year sentence.

The duo was convicted by an Ohio County jury for Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, a Class A felony, on March 15.

On Friday, Ohio County Circuit Court Judge James Humphrey ordered Ojile and Erkins to serve 50 years in prison. The Indiana sentence will begin after the two serve their sentences in Ohio.

Prosecutors showed evidence that Ojile and Erkins planned to rob a patron at Grand Victoria Casino once the would-be victim left the riverboat. However, the two were unable to complete the crime because the patron had checked into the casino’s hotel.

“The Cincinnati Police Department along with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police conducted an excellent investigation that allowed our office to bring these two extremely violent criminals to justice,” said Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutor Aaron Negangard. “Judge Humphrey’s sentence was just and serves to protect the public from these two violent criminals.”
