Tornado Watch Issued for Tri-State Area

Remnants of Tropical Depression Beryl are expected to approach the area this afternoon and evening.

(Wilmington, Oh.) – A Tornado Watch has been issued for much of the tri-state area.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, the watch is for Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, and Switzerland counties in Indiana, Carroll, Gallatin, Boone, and Kenton counties in Kentucky, and Hamilton County, Ohio.

As remnants of Tropical Depression Beryl approach the area, there will be the possibility of isolated, weak tornadoes this afternoon and evening.

In addition, heavy rainfall cannot be ruled out tonight.

The Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight.
