State Road 156 will be closed for just one day.

(Switzerland County, Ind.) - The Indiana Department of Transportation will close State Road 156 next Wednesday, May 16 north of Vevay in Switzerland County while state maintenance personnel replace a drainage pipe located under the roadway. Motorists are advised to detour around the Ohio River Scenic Byway closure via S.R. 56.
Crews from INDOT’s Aurora Unit expect to begin excavation operations across S.R. 156 pavement at 8 a.m. Wednesday—weather permitting. Installation of the new 24-inch pipe measuring 60 feet in length should be completed later that afternoon or early evening.
Location of the S.R. 156 closure is between Tapps Ridge Road and Hunts Creek Road.
