Sherman House Renovations Shift Into High Gear

Press release by Friendship State Bank (Batesville, Ind.) - Friendship State Bank and HPH Hospitality LLC, today announce the need for motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution when moving around The Sherman House located at 35 South Main Street in Batesville, Indiana. As of a late July HPH Hospitality, owners of The Sherman House have collaborated with financiers Friendship State Bank to fund renovations of the Sherman House. While demolition, negotiations with sub-contractors, meetings with decorators and a host of other activities have been ongoing since closing in March, 2016, renovations have been a relatively slow start. Now, work will shift into high gear as weeks of planning are about to translate into action thanks to Friendship State Bank, which has agreed to finance the core of the renovation vision HPH Hospitality has planned for the building. Everyone will notice materials being delivered, scaffolding going up, while roofers, painters, wood workers and other specialists will be working on the building like bees on a new honey comb. The West side parking lot will be closed during this period as this will be converted to a small construction site and parking for sub-contractors. Please drive with care along Walnut, George and Main Streets when in the vicinity of The Sherman House. HPH Hospitality would like to express their appreciation to Friendship State Bank for working with them in their local efforts to comprehensively renovate The Sherman House.  With their help, the company believes the first and second floors (includes the hotel guest rooms) will be fully renovated and opened by early 2017.
