Thirteen area organizations received funding

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The Rising Sun Regional Foundation (RSRF) awarded a total of $216,450 in new grants in the second quarter of 2026.
These grants included:
- Aberdeen-Pate Water Company, $30,000 for SCADA Control Systems update
- American Legion Post 337, $4,000 for water storage and safety improvements for its FEMA shelter
- Batesville Area Resource Center, $15,000 for roof replacement
- Friendship Regional Sewer District, $7,000 for a lawn mower
- Kids Discovery Factor, $30,000 for The Honey Factory Early Learning Exhibit
- Lifetime Resources, $7,250 matching funds for small transit vehicle replacement
- Midwest Equine Trail Foundation, $2,500 for trail drainage repair at Versailles State Park
- Ohio County Rescue Services, $6,200 for equipment modernization
- Oldenburg Academy, $10,000 for an Innovation and Design Lab
- Ripley County Community Foundation, $40,000 matching funds for The Lilly Endowment GIFTinitiative
- Rising Sun Municipal Utilities $30,000 for sewer screening equipment
- Rising Sun Ohio County Community School Corporation, $24,500 for a snow truck
- Town of Sunman, $10,000 for a Safe Stream monitoring system
Applications for the third grant cycle of 2026 must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on July 15, 2026. Applicants are advised to review the grant guidelines and criteria carefully before submitting an application.
