Eight new grants were awarded to round out 2020.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The Rising Sun Regional Foundation (RSRF) awarded a total of $166,019 in eight new grants in the fourth quarter of 2020. These grants included:
--$40,000 to Rising Sun/Ohio County Community School Corporation toward renovations to one of its playground areas;
--Up to $4,950 to St. Louis School for the purchase of additional reading intervention kits;
--$20,000 to the City of Aurora toward holiday lighting and decorations for its downtown area;
--$9,560 to St. Mary’s School for the purchase and installation of security enhancements;
--$33,181 to the Town of Holton for the purchase of a street department truck;
--Up to $15,000 to Margaret Mary Health toward a more streamlined medical pathway program for students;
--$14,183 to Ripley County EMS for the purchase of body armor for its crews; and
--$29,145 to Milan Community School Corporation for security and safety enhancements.
Grant applications for the next grants cycle are due Friday, January 15, 2021 by 4:00pm. Applications can be downloaded from the RSRF website at www.rsrfonline.org, and must be emailed to Jascia Redwine at risingsunregionalfoundation@gmail.com. Please note that hard copies are no longer accepted.
