Ripley Co. Offers Tetanus Shots To Volunteers

(Versailles, Ind.) – Hundreds of firefighters, EMTs, police, and volunteers have been helping restore the town of Holton following Friday’s tornado.

As a safety precaution, the Indiana State Health Department has granted local health departments permission to use publicly funded vaccines to protect Hoosiers affected by this disaster, Ripley County Emergency Management reports.

The Ripley County Health Department is offering free tetanus vaccines to people who are involved in the tornado cleanup. The clinic will be held from 4:30-6:30 at the Holton Community Center, 7044 W. Versailles Street.

People who cannot make the clinic can contact the Ripley County Health Department at (812) 689-0605 to make an appointment for another time.
