Gov. Braun Orders Flags Lowered to Half-Staff on Patriot Day

Flags should be lowered from sunrise to sunset on Friday, September 11.

INDIANAPOLIS - Friday marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2021, terrorist attacks in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.

Nearly 3,000 lives were lost and thousands more were injured.

In remembrance of those who perished and in honor of all of the heroes who answered the call to serve, Indiana Governor Mike Braun has directed flags to be flown at half-staff on Patriot Day.

Flags should be lowered at all state facilities from sunrise to sunset on Friday, September 11.

Governor Braun encourages all Hoosiers to help honor and remember the victims of September 11 by lowering flags to half-staff at their homes and businesses.
