MIFC Names Top Performers for Week 3

(Milan, Ind.) - A third of the high school football season has come and gone. 

For the second time and in consecutive weeks, Milan sophomore running back Beckett Langferman has been named the Mid-Indiana Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Langferman rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns in a 56-7 win over North Decatur. 

His teammate, Caydin Davidson, was named the Special Teams Player of the Week. Davidson had two punt returns for 64 yards and a touchdown. 

The MIFC Defensive Player of the Week is Gerado Colon. The Edinburgh star tallied seven tackles (2 for a loss), a sack and a fumble recovery.

  • Kayden Talbott, Edinburgh - 5 rushes for 47 yards
  • Kagan Wren, South Decatur - 18 rushes for 156 yards, 1 TD

DEFENSE

  • Simon Barber, North Decatur - 2 tackles, 8 assists
  • Colby Bushhorn, Milan - 2 tackles, 5 assists
  • Gerardo Colon, Edinburgh - 7 tackles, 6 assists, 2 TFL, 1 sack, 1 fumble recovery
  • Masen Kilborn, Switzerland County - 5 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 sack
  • Grant Langferman, Milan - 2 tackles, 4 assists, 1 TFL, 1 sack, 1 pressure, 2 forced fumbles
  • Grayson Levell, Switzerland County - 4 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 fumble recovery for a TD
