(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Investigators say a death investigation is underway after a man was found dead in his Lawrenceburg apartment Wednesday.
A Lawrenceburg Police Department press release issued Thursday morning said Lawrenceburg EMS responded to a medical emergency call Wednesday afternoon at 1104 Mountain Way Apartments.
When they arrived, EMTs found 50-year-old John Chenault, of Lawrenceburg, dead.
Lawrenceburg Police were then called to the scene.
Police say a person of interest, David Schwede, 47, is in custody. Schwede is previously from Michigan according to the release.
A daily arrest list shows Schwede was booked into the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center Wednesday evening on a Murder charge.
The case remains under investigation by Det. David Schneider of the Lawrenceburg Police Department with assistance from the Dearborn County Special Crimes Unit and Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department.
