(Greendale, Ind.) - The reconstruction of Parkside Avenue in Greendale is about to enter its next phase.

Construction crews have had Parkside closed between Hillside Avenue and Ridge Avenue since late April.

Greendale city manager Steve Lampert said Wednesday that contractor Rohe Paving is ready for Phase 2 of the project. That is the rebuilding of Parkside from Hillside Avenue up to Nowlin Avenue.

Construction crews will give residents on Parkside a heads-up when on-street parking won’t be available. Cars will be required to park off the street between 201 Parkside and Hillside Avenue now until July 8.

“We know parking and access to drives will be an ongoing issue,” Lampert said. “We will do our best to use door knockers and verbal communication to give advanced warning when the work will affect your property.”

Residents are urged to contact Lampert at (812) 537-2125 or Rohe Paving (513) 687-9412 with issues.
