Opening Day Has Local Flare

(Cincinnati, Oh.) - It’s one of the most celebrated days of the year in the tri-state: baseball’s opening day.

 

The Cincinnati Reds open their season against the Florida Marlins at 4:05 Thursday afternoon.

 

There will be good southeast Indiana representation in the 93rd Findlay Market Opening Day parade through downtown Cincinnati.

Marching bands from South Dearborn High School and Jac-Cen-Del High School will appear in the parade. So will the dance team from East Central High School.

 

Greendale’s Bill Yelton will drive his big American Flag semi truck in the parade.

Employees from Hollywood Casino's Boogie Nights dance club and a few local members of the Cincinnati Roller Girls will participate, too.
