(Hebron, Ky.) - An Augusta Police Department officer from Hebron was taken into custody earlier this month.

Ryan Hill, 29, was arrested on January 4 and charged with one count of Unlawful Use of Electronic Means to Induce a Minor to Engage in Sexual Activities (Class D Felony).

Hill allegedly used a social media application to engage in sexually explicit conversations with a person whom he believed to be a 15-year-old female.

The conversation spanned several days, but unbeknownst to Hill, his conversations were with an undercover task force officer.

Hill is currently lodged at the Boone County Detention Center on $15,000 cash bond.
