(Ripley County, Ind.) – Mike Sieverding was recognized on Thursday with the EMT of the Year award.
Sieverding accepted the award from the Versailles American Legion at their Law and Order Dinner. The annual dinner brings together police, fire, EMS and the courts of court services from the area to be honored.
Sieverding began his long public safety career as a firefighter with the Friendship Fire Department in 1984. He is currently a Battalion Chief with the Columbus Fire Department.
“Congratulations Mike Sieverding! We are proud to have been part of your journey. The number of lives that you have directly impacted with you service may never be known,” reads a statement from the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department.
