Fourth of July Events in Eagle Country

There are lots of ways to celebrate our Independence

Some will celebrate on the Fourth of July, while others will celebrate before or after Independence Day, but there are plenty of Fourth of July events to choose from this year in Eagle Country. A running list of area Independence Day celebrations are listed below.

SATURDAY, JUNE 27

AURORA

Light Up Aurora runs from 1:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Gabbard Riverfront Park. The event will feature live music from The Davey Hudson Band and Saffire Express, Beer Garden, Food, and Vendors. Fireworks at 10:00 p.m. (tune in to Eagle Country 99.3 for the firework soundtrack).

CLEVES

The Village of Cleves will celebrate America's 250th Birthday with a community-wide America 250 Homecoming Festival. The event begins at 1 PM at Cleves Community Park. The event will feature food, fun, games and live music. The day will be capped off with a fireworks display. 

 

FRIDAY, JULY 3

BROOKVILLE

Fireworks and live music at Brookville Town Park featuring Modest Charisma and Naked Karate Girls, beer garden, American Legion chicken fry and frozen pina coladas. Starts at 6 PM

FLORENCE, KY

The City of Florence invites residents and visitors to celebrate Independence Day at the annual Independence Day Concert & Fireworks Celebration on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Thomas More Stadium, located at 7950 Freedom Way.

ο»ΏThis free community event will feature live music, family activities, concessions, and a spectacular fireworks display celebrating America’s 250th Birthday.

Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. with activities continuing throughout the evening. The Florence Community Band will kick off the celebration with a patriotic performance from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Families can enjoy the Kids Zone from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Rusty Griswolds will take the stage from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., followed by a spectacular fireworks display by Rozzi Fireworks at 10:00 p.m.

Admission is free. Guests are reminded that no outside food or beverages are permitted inside Thomas More Stadium. Clear bags are required for entry, however, small clutch bags or wallets measuring no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches are permitted. Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the event.

Fireworks will be launched from Thomas More Stadium. The event will conclude immediately following the fireworks display.

In the event of inclement weather, the rain date for the fireworks display only will be Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 10:00 p.m.

OSGOOD

25th Annual Ripley County Chamber Fireworks Show. Activities begin at 5 PM. Food, entertainment, vendors, and an incredible fireworks display. 

 

SATURDAY, JULY 4

BATESVILLE

Community Picnic will be held immediately following the Parade, which starts on Columbus Avenue and ends at Liberty Park. The picnic will include music, free hot dogs, and good company until approximately 12:30 PM

GREENDALE

The City of Greendale will host their annual Fourth of July Celebration on the July Fourth holiday itself. Enjoy a full day of activities at multiple locations in Greendale including a 5K Run/ Walk, kids’ fishing derby at Schnebelt Pond, kids’ bike parade, golf cart parade, live entertainment, beer garden, and a spectacular fireworks display capping off the evening at Greendale Park.

HARRISON

Harrison's Independence Day Parade steps off at 10 AM at the Harrison Community Center. Whether you're representing a business, organization, sports team, community group, or simply want to join the celebration, parade applications are due by Saturday, June 27.

The Harrison VFW Post 750 will host its annual Thank a Vet Day. The event will run from 1:00 to 5:00 PM and features military vehicles on display, Huey Helicopter rides, DJ, Momma Nae's Food Truck, and a live broadcast from Eagle Country 99.3.

HIDDEN VALLEY

The Hidden Valley Lake POA Fourth of July Fireworks display will be held at dusk. There are two rain dates in case of inclement weather (July 5 and July 11). The Mayor's Boat Parade runs from 6-7 PM. OSGOOD

Reading of the Declaration of Independence will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Damm Theatre. 

PATRIOT

Fourth of July Parade lineup starts at noon. Parade at 2 PM. Rock Steady Band plays from 6-10 PM. Fireworks at 10:00. The event will feature food trucks and vendors. Tethered air balloon rides start at 6:30 PM and run for three hours. Cost is $15 for ages 12 and under and $20 for ages 13 and older. 

RISING SUN

Stars and Stripes Celebration (rain or shine) at Front Street and Rising Sun Riverfront Park. The event runs from 4:00 to 10:30 PM and includes arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, DJ, 360 Photo Booth, Foam Happy Foam Zone and Fireworks. Live music by Groove Masters and The Whammies. 

The Ohio County Historical Society will unveil and dedicate a monument in honor of the 250th birthday of America. Rising Sun Masonic Lodge No. 6 will hold a ceremony. Our local Cub Scouts will be in attendance carrying the Flag. The ceremony will begin at 10am near the Veterans Memorial on Front Street.
