Four more events will be held locally to support cross country programs

(Rushville, Ind.) - The first of five Southeastern Indiana Racing Circuit events took place on Saturday in Rushville.
The Lions Pride 5K was won by Rushville native Noah Hufnagel. The 27-year-old ran the three-mile race in 15:29.
Milan High School graduate and Sunman resident, Ben Riehle, finished second with a time of 15:58. Rylynn Head, 16, of Lawrenceburg, came in third place at 17:46.
The top female performer was Alisha Detmer. The 22-year-old from Patriot finished fifth overall with a time of 18:21.
Maria Scholle, 14, of Greensburg, finished second among female competitors with a time of 20:59 (21st overall). Lily Gambrel, 17, of Lawrenceburg placed 22nd overall with a time of 21:03.
The SIRC will continue on Saturday, July 11 at the Trojan Trot 5K in St. Leon. Registration is available at The Trojan Trot 5K.
Each of the five SIRC races benefit local cross-country programs.
