Lawrenceburg Schools Will Serve Free Meals For Kids This Summer

The school district has partnered with the U.S. Department of Agriculture for the free summer meals program.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg Community Schools will keep children in the district fed during summer break.

In partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the school corporation will bring back its free summer meals program.

Meals will be served at two locations for much of summer break:

  • Village Apartments Clubhouse, 412 Valley Drive, June 7 through July 20, 11:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.
  • Central Elementary School, 500 Short Street, June 11 through July 20, 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Both sites will not serve meals on Independence Day, July 4.

Any individual age 18 or younger can come to eat for free. The school district says there are no income requirements, registration to qualify, or requirement that a child attend Lawrenceburg schools.

Adults can eat for $3 each.

For more information, call Christina Quicksall at (812) 537-7289.

Other free summer meal program locations can be found on the USDA website at https://www.fns.usda.gov/summerfoodrocks.
