(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Believe it or not - and it may be harder to believe if you look outside at a snow covered yard - but baseball season is just around the corner. The Lawrenceburg Lions Club Youth Baseball League is preparing for its 2015 season. Final in-person registrations for players will be held Saturday, February 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Lawrenceburg Community Center. The league is also allowing parents to register their players online through March 1. Visit llyb.teampages.com. Parents interested in having their child move up a division from last season or for those new to the league, there will be tryouts on March 7 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Lawrenceburg High School auxiliary gymnasium:
1:00 p.m.- 7-8 year olds 2:00 p.m. - 9-10 year olds 3:00 p.m. - 11-12 year olds
Examples of players who need to try out would be a six-year-old wanting to move to coach pitch, and eight-year-old wanting to move to minors, or a 10-year-old wanting to move to majors. Players already on a team from last year do not need to try out. Opening Day for the Lawrenceburg Lions Youth League is Saturday, April 25.
