(Laurel, Ind.) - A Laurel woman was arrested Thursday following an investigation into a reported trespassing incident.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible theft at a residence located on West Commerce Street around 10:37 a.m.. Deputies responded to the scene and spoke with individuals responsible for overseeing the property, who advised that a shed on the property appeared to have been forcibly entered.
While deputies were on scene, a female later identified as Deborah Weber, age 43, of Laurel, was observed in the area. During the investigation, it was determined that Weber had been on the property without permission. No items were confirmed missing from the residence at the time of the investigation.
Based on the information gathered, Weber was taken into custody for Criminal Trespass.
During the intake process at the Franklin County Jail, suspected illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia were located on Weber’s person. The suspected substances were collected and secured as evidence.
Weber was incarcerated at the Franklin County Jail on the following preliminary charges of Criminal Trespass, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Paraphernalia
