(Aurora, Ind.) - Car 51-01 is now in service.
Aurora Emergency Rescue Unit announced Friday the addition of a 2024 Dodge Durango to their fleet.
Car 51-01 is an ALS non-transport unit, allowing crews to respond quickly and deliver advanced life support care where it’s needed most.
This unit will be used to assist patients in need of ALS-level treatments and to first respond to second-out calls in our area, helping ensure no delay in advanced care when additional resources are needed.
"This addition helps strengthen our response capabilities and ensures we continue providing high-quality care to our community. We are always looking for ways to improve and adapt to the needs of those we serve, because when seconds count, you can count on us," reads a statement from Aurora EMS.
